Jamie Mackie is a founder and the Vice President of Geology at VTX Energy Partners, LLC. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Geologist with ATX and played a key role in putting together the Powder River Basin position from initial geologic mapping, through drilling, and extensive core analysis. Jamie also evaluated potential acquisitions in all the major Rockies Basins and the Permian Basin.

Prior to VTX, Jamie began his career with Brigham Resources from its initial startup phase through the sale to Diamondback Energy in February of 2017. While at Brigham Resources, Jamie’s work focused on several core and reservoir characterization projects that were key to developing the Southern Delaware Basin asset. Additionally, he worked on the New Ventures team evaluating prospects across the entire Permian Basin, as well the Appalachian and Illinois basins.

Jamie graduated from Denison University with a BS in Geosciences and Colorado State University with an MS in Geosciences.
